A Dog was barking fiercely
insecurity, fear and all.
And an urgent need for self defence.
Soon there were barks
from far and near.
They seemed uncontrolled.
I looked over; from my balcony.
Saw a seeming stranger to our place!
Dressed in garbs, old, stick in hand and a turban on head.
Walking ever so slowly,
unfazed by the dogs;
who had by now assembled in numbers.
All stray ofcourse!
He sat amidst them and looked at one of them.
Ever so gently,
his trembling hands,
began to stroke the one he could reach.
At first the barking increased frantically.
in an instant – silence!
he was still a stranger to them
I saw the power of love!
O the barking dogs in the mind!
there is no stranger here
and, THE ONE!
